Emma Baker-Spink, soprano, enjoys singing.

She has been performing in and around Brisbane for over 10 years in various capacities. Emma has been largely associated with both the Sacred Music and New Music movements in Brisbane. Emma has keen interests in New Music, both sacred and secular, and has been heavily involved in many projects as both soloist and chorister.

Largely trained within the field of Church Music, she has become a specialist in this area after many years of both solo and choral-based work within various parishes in the Brisbane area. Emma has been a chorister at Holy Trinity Fortitude Valley, All Saints Wickham Terrace, St Mary's Kangaroo Point, and at the Cathedral of St Stephen, as well as being involved in learning the art of Tridentine Mass. These valuable years as a chorister have given Emma the basis of her musical knowledge. She owes much to the directors of these choirs for expanding her musical education!

She has most recently been singing with Brisbane's hybrid arts ensemble, Collusion, as the resident soprano. Collusion has been a great outlet for Emma's eagerness to explore new repertoire with such a talented group of virtuosic musicians, as well as combining her two loves - Sacred and Secular music. Along New Music and Church Music, it has always been noted that her voice is extremely well suited to Early Music, particularly Medieval and Baroque styles.

Over many years of singing, Emma has performed as soloist for the following groups: Brisbane Chamber Choir, Camerata of St John's, Canticum, St Stephen's Schola, St Stephen's concert series, Bach Society of Queensland, Queensland Ballet, Queensland Philarmonic Orchestra's Off the Factory Floor series and Brisbane Chorale.

Emma spent 4 and a half years as a member of the nine voice vocal ensemble, Schola of St Stephen's, a group that specialises in 20^th Century Sacred repertoire. She also continues to sing regularly at St Stephen's as Cantor.
